I have one in my house. The combustion chamber is completely sealed from the house. It draws in combustion air from outside and exhausts outside. My Dickinson propane furnace on my sailboat is the same. The combustion chamber is sealed and draws combustion air from outside the boat and exhausts outside the boat. It draws very little power (
