They started pulling some of the public docks out today. I'm headed down after lunch to see if they will be leaving one or two in (they usually do). I only need the dockage, the take the sails off and fold, and unstep my mizzen. It's too cold for that today! Once that's done, I don't mind staying in waiting to haul, but what's the use with no sails?
More often than not, it's warmer when I've been doing this stuff in the past 15 or so seasons. The boatyard where I haul is still backed up quite a bit.
Are you nervous about your late departure? Do you have a bail out plan or do you pretty much have to try to make a go of it?
