My ultimate deadline is 2/25/17 in Ft Lauderdale to make my shipping date for the west coast. Earlier this year #1 went south in February! Provided there's no ice, it's possible to pick a window if you're patient.

My biggest disappointment is losing the opportunity of 'cruising' south. It'll be a delivery to Norfolk at this point. I spent Thanksgiving 10 years ago in NC on the ICW. It wasn't too bad going that late and you miss the 'rush' on Nov 1st from Norfolk. I'll do the ICW to get south of Hatteras and Frying Pan and then see how far I can get either inside or outside. My last plan was to leave the boat in GA over the holidays and finish up the trek in Jan/Feb. That 'could' still hold.

I'm a firm believer in NOT letting a schedule dictate my plans, especially in winter!
