Thanks everyone- I did cut out a 3 5/8 diam hole in a 1/2 inch thick square piece of teak, but it was too thick and the switch didn't come out far enough. I didn't realize that I could get a piece of 1/4 inch teak or black plastic (i prefer teak), and I like the White cap trim ring- just need to find it in 3 5/8.
Will keep on looking- I have all winter to come up with a good fix.
