Nothing to do with sailing, but this is a good forum for practical advice on many fronts ... I'm in Maine for a brief visit and realize I need to re-roof my house. The existing shingles are 30 years old and I discovered a leak. Think I fixed that but I'd like to line up a replacement plan before we head back to Holland in a couple weeks. I got a quote from someone who recommended Certainteed Landmark series. It seems to get good reviews. Does anyone, especially here in southern Maine, have any experience with Landmark, or suggestions for other manufacturers to look at? We considered metal but I think will stick with shingles, due to appearance and not wanting the snow come crashing off.
