Lots of controversy regarding turtle bay fuel - Lat 38 did a piece last year or so and raised a lot of complaints. I think the real issue is that when 180 plus boat show up everybody gets a little stressed there - though we know the HaHa is really well ordered, the fuel guys have so much work in so little time. When there are just a few boats hanging around, they are real nice folks. Turtle Bay has to be one of the most run down villages I have been in during the last two years - times are real tough there since the cannery closed. Anabelle is trying to position himself as the powerboat fuel guy - he has a great operation with a gravity feed tank, hoses, and large delivery boat that powers the pump. Obviously, he can make more money delivering 200 gallons of fuel rather than 20. The Fubar tends to go to Anabelle, and the HaHa goes to Enreque.
Have a safe trip - I caught some nice yellowtail off Cedros island, and spent a great night in the north anchorage there - much more senic than Turtle Bay
