Fairclough makes very nice covers but there is no ROI compared with blue poly tarps

I bought the Kover Klamp system materials from Defender ($441) including $50 for a 25x50 blue poly tarp.... plus I estimate I'll need 35 pipes ($114 from Home Depot). So total material <$600. Phone estimate from Fairclough was around $6k for a full cover. Even if the $50 blue poly cover only lasts one season, where is the break-even point?

In Fairclough's favor -- they do invest their own labor in building the custom frame, they build a custom cover out of superior materials, and there is less environmental impact from discarded covers that are replaced every year or two. The reason to get Fairclough (or competitors products) is if you don't want to do it all yourself (or pay the boatyard annually for shrinkwrap) and if you want "the best" regardless of cost.
