My plan was to get the boat now, base it on the southern MD Chesapeake and start the process of "moving aboard" for maybe 3 years until I retire and then sail away. I would probably put her on the hard for 3 months each year in MD. In the meantime, live aboard, weekend sails, 4 week vacation sails and the like until retirement. The boat would not be in the hurricane belt during the season.
