Yeah,, I felt the same way. Working with dome Dutch company, but, they were highly recommended although a couple of responses last month on the issue were unfavorable. We were looking to change companys and were comparing Jackline and Marsh, two of the leading yacht/cruising insurance companies

In the end,, Marsh and Jannie Van Der Vaart got our businness. Jannie has been around for a long time and is easy to communicate with. We have cruising insurance for the entire Caribbean with less hassle than Jackline was giving us. Don't know if experience has anything to do with it. I've never had a claim after 20 years and almost 30,000 miles and the Admiral has a 100 ton license. ( Generally I would think that it didn't make any difference but you never know )

Our insurance costs a bit more as we're insured for $200,000.00.
