The solution on my Volvo 2003 was radiator flush
In Response To: Sded, have you ever had an overheating problems with your Volvo 2030? ()

Empty the coolant side and run Permatex radiator cleaner through. Reflush and then change the coolant every year. Fixed my overheating under stress issues.
