It you use heat you could easily damage a shaft seal and start leaking transmission oil.

I use Permatex Anti-seize lubricant and have never had a bolt come loose.

I would also suggest that you use grade 8 bolts. Those have six hash marks on the head. They are far stronger than the standard crap you but at home depot.
