Another good reason to mix stainless'
In Response To: That's a good tip on the 304+316 combo on the nut and bolt. ()
If you use 304 on 304 without lubricant you are likely to get galling on the threads which can make it very hard to remove the nut. 304 on 316 doesn't gall as much.
