In Beaufort, the unit was functioning fine. Then another boat came to the dock and I got this weird error message. I called X and they said it was sometime like a "MSC error" (I actually have exactly what they said if you think that is material). The other boat left the marina and then it worked fine after reseting everything.

Now in the BVI's I got the same error code. I've hooked up my small backup 30 amp WM I purchased; luckily, and it's recharging the batteries. As I have a 420 amp hour bank it's taking a bit. When it fully charged I'll try the X again. However; I' m really interested in having a charger that works when I get power!

As for Larry's comment, the unit is about 5-6 years old but it has been in service for about 2 1/2 years (sat in my parts room in our house while I was refurbishing the boat till I needed it). Then for a year and a half it was a marina boat and for the last year we've been cruising full time.

The inverter works fine on it! Just the error code in the panel. Don't know where the software is actually in the panel or how I could update the software. That may be the issue; but taking it all apart and sending it in from the islands just isn't going to happen. I tried taking the cover off but found out that there are no circuit boards that I can just reseat. Damn.

I'm thinking of maybe just getting a Vectron Charger and then when this invertor goes getting a separate Inverter. Then all my eggs aren't in one basket.

Thanks for the comments, They all help
