If you buy a new Xantrex to replace a broken one that they will not fix then you have endorsed their business model of f**king the customer. Only by telling them that you are buying someone else's product and doing by so will they ever get the message to clean up their act.
I can understand that attitude for a $200 GPS or VHF but for a $1000 plus piece of equipment it is unacceptable.
PS. My 20+year old Heart 2000 is still going strong. I had it checked out once and they replaced a couple of capacitors. Although the charger is basic the inverter is great. It is possible to build solid equipment.
