I have shopped Binoculars on and off for a couple of years. I like 10x50s I figure if you are using binoculars, they ought to bring it in close. Most folks think they jump around too much onboard. But having successfully shot hand held video from a moving boat back when I did that sort of thing for a living, using powerful binoculars on an open boat is a piece of cake. I have not been able to find a pair I like at a price I am willing to pay, so I keep falling back to my dear old Bushnell 10x50s. The mechanism is getting a little cranky and the lenses are getting prone to fog, but they still mostly work. And since I bought them 13 yrs ago for $70, I'm thinking maybe another pair of Bushnells might just do the job.
