I have used PB on the bolts and so far have had pretty good luck removing the suspension hardware. But I have run into one area that seems to defy removal...
The wheels are rusted onto the hubs. I have taken off the 4 wheel lug nuts, but it appears that the back side of the wheel (painted metal) is rusted to the hub (galvanized metal)... sort of a plate to plate situation.
I may eventually give up and just buy new hubs if I can find the right size... but just in case, I want to try to pry these apart... and am not having any luck what so ever. I don't mind buying new wheels/tires... figured I might have to anyway. The tires are long dried out and I would not trust 'em on anything but a short trip on low speed streets.
I am thinking torch to separate the wheels/hubs... but wondering about the bearing surfaces in the hubs if I go that route.
Any ideas?
