10 years ago I wanted to get my fuel gauge working, "thought" I had checked the wiring ie:"ground looked good", replaced the tank sending unit and the gauge and it still didn't work#$%^&* an electrician bud of mine said "I bet its the ground" ... went on to change out the ground location and low and behold ... still working perfectly after 10 years ... argh!!
...in retrospect I probably didn't need to change the gauge or the tank sending unit but heck whats done is done ... ALWAYS check the ground, cheap easy and in my experience ... usually the culprit!
All the best and good luck ...
... the stick ... well might of worked fine for Tristin Jones but most boats fuel tank locations nowadays do not lend themselves to an easy stick reading!!
