A few days on Cuttyhunk Island.

One of many favorite spots for us along the New England coast, Cuttyhunk is an interesting island to explore. We know the harbor well now after several stops. The mooring field is a pleasant secure place but we still prefer the anchorage in shallow water to the east. There's room for a half a dozen boats or more. With our centerboard raised, we're usually quite alone here where it's very quiet and peaceful.

I took this shot during an early morning row just as the sun was rising in the east. It would be a very hot day, much of which we spent under the awning or in the water swimming.
