or is American Airlines third world? Miami International is a very, very busy place for folks coming to Florida and it is the hub for the Caribbean, Central and South American as well. Lots of Europeans are there too who come to Miami's beaches.
Having spent some time in the BVIs, while it can get crowded, I believe it gets that way because it is such a nice place to sail and people want to be there. And $30 for lunch doesn't sound to bad, but one could always eat on the boat. (No one goes to the BVI's for food. One goes to Paris for that.)
Sorry you had such bad experience. I'm going next month to help a friend get his boat off the Dockwise ship, and I think I'm going to have a great time.
