and making connections from the BVIs through PR, USVI and Miami can be quite a trial -- as the island airlines are run quite "loose". The BVIs mooring fields are almost completely given over to the charter trade, there are still anchorages but many of the best are generally crowded out by moorings, and the restaurants ashore near anchorages cater to the vacation charterers who are already spending thousands per week for the trip (not cruisers on a budget). As someone else wrote, you always have the option to eat aboard.

Les's problem sounded to me like the world didn't fit his expectations so he was put-out and blamed the world. Attitude and expectation determines perception. Maybe today or another day he'll look at things differently. Maybe not.
