a very small, clamp on, old fashioned hand meat grinder. *grin* So do I, and in fact my Mom's old grinder now "lives" on the boat.

Why was it a mess? I clamp mine on a wooden cutting board cantilevered over a bowl in the sink. I feed the conch in piece by piece from another bowl. The grinder comes apart for cleaning which isn't too bad and the two bowls are just bowls.
