cut flatter and a bit smaller then what was recommended and 1.5 oz. It's pretty much bullet prof and we run it up to 20 knots. I had it built to sail in a some actual wind but the up side is that it's small enough that I don't worry about much of anything while it's up. If you want to sail in light wind then it's not the sail you want. Your wife would probably love it. Dan Y on Tropical Dance and I had this long conversation about what would be the best all round sail for cruising and this is what I settled on and I'm very satisfied. It got tested really hard coming south around Cabo Corrientes one morning. We were broad reaching in 15 knots around 11 am and my wife said that we should take it in. I told her that "it's fine". When it hit 20, which is our agreed top wind speed for the sail, I told her I didn't expect it to go much higher but she warned me that it was "the point effect we were getting". I knew she was right but held it awhile longer. By the time I got to the mast it was blowing 25 and by the time I got the sock down it was 30. What a hoot but my wife didn't appreciate the ride quite as much as I did. It would have been a real PITA if it had been a light weight, high shouldered full cut sail.
