Go with a larger display if your budget allows

That 76csx is just too small to be used as a chart-plotter. (Yes I know it displays charts but you can't zoom out and get enough detail). I like the GPSmap 476 or 478 in a handheld -- battery life is all day and the display is just (barely) large enough to be used as a true chart-plotter.
