Peggy;
I'm sure you're correct, but how much. I email Lavac and got no response. They're 1/4" bolts so I thought to torque them to what they should be at. Couldn't even get close before I heard a give in the plastic. So how much?
Currently my forward head doesn't leak. I just put a new base on the aft head and barely tightened the bolts. I didn't have a spare rubber gasket so I used a double layer of cork, tighten lightly till the head won't easily rotate on the base, then let sit and did that 4 more times till the cork was staying snug and the thrown not rotating on the base. Then installed the sucker: Pun intended.
So if you have any reference on how much to tighten then please let me and the rest of the world know. I couldn't find any and as far as I'm concerned "Damn Lavac" for not replying and or putting any info in their literature!
Thanks,
