The Raymarine s100 remote can switch the autopilot to standby when its battery dies

A design defect, IMHO. For some reason it used to do that with my ST4000 autopilot. Now I have a newer autopilot course computer and the s100 doesn't do that (I think). I'm not 100% sure about the new behavior but I'm 99% sure about the old behavior. It happened several times with the ST4000 and I'm pretty sure about the correlation of events.
