Once you get use to using an inverter you won't go back.
My thought is that if you install a 600 or 800 watt inverter it will only be a matter of weeks before you'll want a larger one. You can't run much off one of those inverters so you might as well install a larger one. With a 1,000 watt inverter/charger you'll have a large battery charger meaning shorter charge times along with enough 120 to run a small coffee pot or microwave. With something smaller than a 1,000 watt you can forget the microwave or coffee pot. Besides it makes the females happy.
We have 3 inverters on board, a 2,500 watt an 650 watt and a small 200 watt inverter. We hardly ever use the 650. The 200 watt one we use for the computer or to charge cellphones and cameras.
