The sanitation hose that goes from the toilet discharge port to the Y-valve is about 4 feet long. I took the end of this hose at the Y-valve completely off, it was just hanging there, ready for water to be splashed all over the v-berth ... ran the toilet discharge pump and natta. No water discharged from the bowl. The Discharge Pump runs, but it is not as loud or aggressive as I thought it would be, I've not ever heard one before, but the sound is sort of like a bilge pump running ... it certainly doesn't sound like a macerator.
I took the leads from the Discharge Pump off the Head Control Box wiring, and hooked these directly to the battery, thinking maybe there was some loss of voltage somewhere (I did check voltages and all were fine) and the same thing happens ... when I touch the POS Discharge Pump lead to the battery, the motor comes on but no water discharges.
It seems to me perhaps the Discharge Motor shaft is spinning, but the impeller is not turning, like maybe the blades are jammed with packaging material, or a set screw or nut for the impeller to motor shaft, or shaft to macerator blade, is missing or loose ... or something like this.
I guess I could take the motor apart, but this is a brand new unit, Raritan is a couple hours away, probably the best thing to do is call them Monday morning, and maybe bring the Head to them ...
Thanks ... cheers, John
