Good idea -- the HDS series connects to the BR24 radar using Ethernet

When I pulled out the old analog Raymarine cable I had LOTS of room in the conduit to pull in the broadband radar cable which is much thinner. Here's a tip you my find useful in the future: The BR24 comes with a short Ethernet cable (about 8 or 10 feet) so I used an inexpensive Ethernet coupler like this one to connect a 25-foot Ethernet patch cord to reach my pedestal (connected inside). http://www.amazon.com/Cat5-Network-Ethernet-Cable-Coupler/dp/B003IYS8SQ
Works like a charm.
