Tonight I'm in California. Tomorrow I fly to Ft Lauderdale Florida to strip the boat and make sure it has chafe gear and everything necessary to secure her if a named storm passes through. I was going to take the boat to Georgia for hurricane season as I can get inexpensive insurance there but decided against it.

If I was in Maine it would be a non issue and no stress. I don't know why you're worrying about it.

If you want stress, take your boat to Ft. Lauderdale, leave it there and then fly 3,000 miles away for hurricane season.
