The trip was close to 400 miles. We went outside from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Augustine (36 hrs.) and then inside the rest of the way to Brunswick. We had wanted to sail a bit but the wind was from the north northeast, north, and north northwest so we only sailed about 2 hours. The rest of the way was motorsailing. The wind was making for what could be some uncomfortable seas for the second night so we made a decision to go inside. No sense in beating yourself up. All in all, a good decision. Going inside and spending the third daylight period with land around gave us something to look at.

Reylyn stayed home and a friend went with me.

Hopefully the trip back to Ft. Lauderdale won't have the wind on the nose.
