As I'm sure you noticed. I couldn't help but think how these things have changed since we were kids. They haven't of course, the forecasting machinery has. The hurricanes were more out of the blue with some pretty short advance. Rarities really.

Now the "models" go through various stages, ultimately the hurricanes cut the same swaths, but the whole freaking coast gets terrorized before it arrives!
