I think we all dodged a bullet on this one...

Hi DDW,

Perhaps the strongest effects I felt last night were the outer bands when the eye was still down around the Delaware Bay Entrance, 100+ miles south of me... By the time the eyewall passed just to the west of me, it was barely noticeable...

Because the eye passed to my west, however, the wind wound up backing around through the southern quadrant, and brought about as much water into my neighborhood as I've ever seen...

Perhaps the most amazing thing, we never even lost power here - yesterday, I would have rated the odds of my being able to watch the Belgian Grand Prix this morning at no more than one in a million... (grin)
