I have a 10,000 lb, that's 5 TON granite mooring block, new 1" chain (18,740 lbs WWL), 5/8" top chain (9,750 lbs WWL) and new double Yale Polydyne (18,000 lb breaking strength) My boat wasn't going anywhere. If I were on an anchor or somewhere other than where I was I would make a different decision. I also knew that max sustained winds coastal Maine were not going to Hurricane, that was a certain. Sure shit happens but you can't tell me what to do anymore than I can tell you what decision to make.
