Time is not the issue for me - space for storage?
In Response To: DQOTD... ()

After I spend 30 - 45 minutes dropping my genoa on deck (455 sq feet of 7 oz Spectra) and then fold it/roll it into the bag and 45 - 60 minutes removing and rolling/folding my 345 sq foot 7.5 oz Spectra Main I have to find a place to stow them (where do those 12' 3 pound battens go?). Those are big bags and completely fill the sitting area in the main salon or the pullman berth in the owners cabin. Then I have to remove the dodger (another 30 minutes) and find a place to stow that canvas. And, my big Code0 bag and bigger spinnaker bag are already stowed in the quarterberth along with two bicycles. It does get crowded down below.

During the three TS/Hurricanes I have anchored thru where I did remove the sails I found little room to live below during the 24 hours from the time I removed them until I put the sails back on the rigging. I was single handing during all those storms. It would have been very crowded and uncomfortable inside Mirador if there had been another person aboard.

When cruising in remote locations - going ashore and sitting out the storm is not usually a doable option.

My experience is that it takes me a 1/2 day to prepare Mirador for a TS and another 1/2 day to un-prepare her.
