Genny and Staysail to the deck, plus time to lash the mess down for short periods.
Removal and storage below takes about 30 min to disconnect the drums, furling lines and snake them below.

I agree that this is no barrier to removal but driving an hour or two each way, leaving work etc can be more to overcome.
Therefore I tend to leave the sails, covers and bimini tightly closed/lashed and tied down. BUT...I have often gone out in the dead of night to remove windage when NOAA leads me to believe BIG Wind is near.

Years ago I did have an old genoa, that was wrapped tight AND secured with extra line shredded by an un-predicted squall.
It did not come unwrapped but the wind worked on a section and pulled it out and up from one of the inner wraps...like pulling a paper towel from the center of the roll.
It only took a few min to tear it up...but it was overdue for replacement.
