Cost of new water tank IF you need more water is one thing. If it's just for ballast it will be MORE expensive than lead pigs by the time you're done. However, lead would like to be tied down a bit as well in case of rough seas.

Batteries might be most useful but there again......you're paying REALLY a lot for lead, eh?
