with 4-6 ft seas predicted overnight I might just go around. I do have a chart plotter at the helm, and it even has a chart cartridge in it now!
I'll probably take a look at the buoy data tomorrow on the satellite, and if the waves look big play conservative. If it looks pretty flat, then I might try the channel close to the beach. On the NOAA chart there are soundings on the shoals as little as 2-4 ft in places. If the chart is accurate, plenty of depth to thread thru with the chart plotter, but I don't trust that the chart can be relied upon after the weather.
I did that going into Shediac up in NB last year, ran into the soft mud twice. At low tide you could see vast stretches of mud where the chart showed 8 ft of water at the low. Things change, sometimes pretty quickly.
