What I read was.....

"If you can anchor in the NW - you'll find Mexican anchorages to be easy and obvious". My time in the NW, I look back on as hard time. Current, fog, current, rain, current, cold, current, steep rocky anchorage. Oh! did I leave out current. So anything after that would seem easy but that is not the same as easy. So glad you cleared that up.
As far as you only having 900 nights spent at anchor, I think that is enough to get the lay of the land. We have 1300 plus nights at anchor, if we count the time we spent in Mexico in 1985 and 1986. I normally don't count them as I had my youth and hair then and tend look back at those years with rose colored glass.
