would blow a fuse and get "back driven". The electric clutch is operated independent of load and the worm gear reduction is so low that if the clutch were engaged and the actuator shaft were to be forced something would break. At one time they were made with a plastic gear that would wear out every 5000 miles or so. Their excuse for the plastic gear was that it would break before something more expensive broke. Now they do not use the plastic - it is bronze. If their weak ling story is true they have eliminated it.
