() the Alpha 3000 is so reliable. I also have a Tiller Pilot that I can attach to the wind vane hinge so the Monitor will steer the boat in light air, which is the Monitor's weak point. But for single handers or short handed sailor, there is no substitute for the belt and suspenders approach.

- IF you had the boat badly balanced in relatively terrible winds and seas, your monitor wouldn't have done much.
