When the guy at Hinckley put in my new 'Lasdrop' dripless he hooked the feed tube to the exhaust raw water manifold. The manual says "Do not connect the feed tube to the engine exhaust manifold if the engine is below waterline as it may flood the engine". Well, I had no problem with engine flooding but I think that because the water was hot and under a lot of pressure it made the dripless, drip.
The head mechanic looked at it after I pointed the instruction manual "IMPORTANT NOTICE' to him and changed it. That solved the problem. No more leaks!
You have to read the manual. (of course that's something I don't always do myself)
