To a long keel and skeg hung rudder I got a tip about putting the helm 'hard over in reverse. With the spade rudder hard over was a no no but with my current long underbody hard over does turn our boat the way we want... often...well much of the time....depending on the moon ...and the last time I helped a little old lady to cross the street
