The original Hubble connection that has the threaded cap over it is in need of replacement. I put a new female cord end on and within a month it becomes black and melted from resistance. I've tried cleaning and polishing the pins on the mounted receptacle but one has deteriorated so much it is ready to fall off. The only option is to take it out and replace.

I'm getting tired of replacing cord ends.
