I'm paying about $30 per pound for my lobster

Took in about 200 lobster this year diving off my brother's boat;
let's see....
amortized dive equipment cost about $200/year = $200
Nitrox fills ~ $800
Boat Fuel for those big twin diesel engines, 24gal/hr x ~ 50 hours = $4800
Auto fuel to get to the dock = $200
Lobster diving permit = $35
Total yearly cost = ~ $6000
divided by 200 lobster = $30/lb
Totally worth it

- Aren't the powers that be in Maine banning the import of Canadian lobsters to their processing plants?

- We've been paying around 6/ pound lately.
- Mostly we get lobster tails from Australia 'round here at ten to twenty bucks a pound.....
