When you consider the perpetual fight in Congress Dissembled over the MEDICARE doctor reimbursement rate formula. Seems like every couple months they are being forced to cancel the SGR reductions that a 1997 law imposes. The current reduction is some where close to 27% and takes affect at the end of February. Do we really want them to have them do this for everybody, not to mention where will they get the money. They have already spent the excess money collected to pay for both MEDICARE and Social Security.

Granted there are too many of us living long enough to expect the Gummint to live up to their promises and pay for the benefits we have already paid for through mandatory pay roll deductions.
