If the Canadian system is so good, then why do so many Canadians come here for medical treatment?

I've never begged for a discount, I simply asked after stating I had no insurance. A discount was always given. My GP doctor even went as far as to only charge my wife and I what he got from the insurance company!

If you think the government is the answer, then how many of you would like to turn your home and car insurance over to them?

Finally, let me deal with this pre-existing conditions argument. If you bought a car and decided to skip insurance because you thought it too expensive and then had an accident, would you really expect an insurance company to pick you up and pay for the damage? Please!!

Health care is a very complicated issue with many, many factors!
