... through fire hose, that seems to work well for chafe. And have someone looking after the boat often, especially before & after a blow. My biggest fear lately ... is the rudder falling off in the middle of nowhere in bad weather. I need to repack the stuffing/gland, and replace the journal bearing, but otherwise it seems fine, it's just 25 years new ... and I wonder what's hiding in what I believe is a SS web or fame encased by two halves of foam & fiberglass. Makes me think Scanmar's SOS rudder might not be a bad thing to have ... Cheers, John
