Surprisingly, to me, we see dolphins all along the ICW, especially close to the inlets. They usually come in groups of two to four and ride our bow wave, and then move aft to ride our wake. They point their aft-most flipper down and surf. One of our dogs, Chevy, LOVES the dolphins. We have to put him on a leash because we know he'd jump off the boat otherwise. For proof, here's a short video of Chevy going dolphin nuts- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4bFwuO1wrM&feature=player_embedded
The dolphins responded to all the racket Chevy was making. They started performing for him, with all three dolphins jumping simultaneously, which made Chevy whine and cry even more. Funny stuff.
And what happens when we lock him inside the helm station? He whines and cries like a little girl - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVWv_oR_sYo&feature=player_embedded
We're spending some time here in Beaufort SC waiting for mail and Boston Whaler parts before heading to Savannah. I'm not sure if we're going to continue on to St. Augustine because I've heard that the ICW has shoaled in along this stretch. We'll see.
