This highway bridge has a 60-foot air draft, according to charts. Our boat has a 63-foot air draft, including Windex and anchor light; or 65+ feet including the VHF.
We squeezed under at low tide, with no more than one or two feet to spare. The blue light that hangs from the bridge (to right of our mast) marks center of span, and is definitely lower than our masthead. We startled a few nesting pigeons as we swept past the girders with our VHF antenna.
