You're right, it's a beautiful little town to walk around, and a friendly atmosphere at the marina... They've got a courtesy car as well, so it's a very convenient place to provision or run other errands, everything from Wal-Mart on down within fairly easy reach...

I'd so some research on fuel prices before leaving SC, however... I was a bit surprised by what I had to pay for diesel in Thunderbolt, considerably higher than what I had previously paid up in NC... Georgia's fuel prices had never seemed particularly out of line to me before, perhaps it was just an anomaly (I had stopped at Morningstar Marina in Thunderbolt), but you might want to check it out...
